Casselton Library Receives Pilcrow Foundation Books
Thanks to a generous grant from The Pilcrow Foundation along with Mr. Hal Berenson and Mrs. Laura Ackerman the Casselton Public Library received 100 new books valued at $1642. The Pilcrow Foundation is a nationwide non-profit organization which donates new, quality children’s books to small public libraries. The foundation seeks to foster a love of reading in children at an early age and throughout their lives. Since October 1990, the foundation has donated over $5.5 million worth of new children’s books to more than 3,000 libraries in all 50 states. As stated by Library Director Sheila Krueger, “We are so grateful that the Pilcrow Foundation chose our library once again for this incredible gift”. Earlier this month, the library featured picture books received through the grant during preschool story time and will continue to showcase the books during our upcoming events. All of the books are available for checkout so come in and see our new collection!
